This is our 1-piece conversion for the BMW E46 platform. The shaft is 3″ x .083″ DOM tube with billet aluminum plates to convert the small bolt pattern on the factory transmission and differential flanges to use larger 1310 u-joints. This shaft weighs 25lbs and since we are removing the hanger bearing, it will make the car seem more athletic and give it a smoother power transfer. We would have liked to offer an aluminum version, but for strength it would have to be 3.5″ aluminum which is too large in diameter to fit without a clearance issue. Unlike other aftermarket shafts for BMW’s this shaft features a slider system that will let the shaft move in and out during racing and chassis flex. This shaft is now being balanced on our new 9500RPM balancer to ensure a perfectly balanced shaft. Comes complete with precision machined front and rear conversion plates and all necessary hardware for installation.
